Hosted by the dashing Andars Kristianson, Ekoz’s Melodiefestivalen was back on the screens in their country to select their winner who will represent them in the upcoming WorldVision 54, which could be held in their own country. STE showed how well they can host a music competition during their Melfest as they came with superb camera shot and high quality sound equipment. However, only one performance could win, and that was Thor’s, Thor Rikkardson.
You can see here that Melodie (Song) 4 won with a 7 point gap, with Danjel Dintarvaan coming last with 20 points. Tell us, where do you think Ekoz will place in WorldVision 54? Will they do better than WorldVision 53?
This was posted by STE a couple of days ago;
BREAKING- Ekozian broadcaster, STE, today shockingly announced that the country would once again participate in the 53rd WorldVision Song Contest after previously announcing that the broadcaster planned to move away from international broadcasting to focus on the quality of national programming however it has been revealed that MelodieFestivålen winner Hafthor Viktorsson, 25, will represent the country with his winning single Where We Belong.
Ekoz previously fully participated in the 50th edition of the contest, finishing 11th, their second lowest placing since the country’s debut in WorldVision 32. Media reactions to the STE’s announcement differ from outlet to outlet, many describing the broadcasters erratic change of stance in regards to participation of the contest. Public opinion to the contest has dramatically declined in recent editions with a viewership of 51.2% (33,210,923) watching the 50th edition; WorldVision 40 received a viewership of 89.98% (57,230,123). A spokesperson for the WorldVision delegation at the STE stated…
“The STE never conclusively announced that Ekoz would never return to the contest, it was just a case of when is best appropriate. The STE has taken on board the public attitude towards returning and feel it is precisely the right time to return, and the most recent winner of MelodieFestivålen, Hafthor, is a perfect representative for our country. It’s time to get the ratings of the contest back to where they were previously, and we are extremely confident that we will.”
With Ekoz returning, this is only one of the many nations who are returning to the contest.

Can their hardship and work pay off?
Despite the failed WorldVision 49 bid, they decided to come back again and bid to host for the WV50. This will mark 14 editions since Todlichebujoku last hosted…Back in Muliphu!
Auszer, or Äußerstenkeiken (The official name), is hosting to bid to host the 50th WorldVision Song Contest. In their bid, they have stated the great wonders of not only the city but the country as a whole.
A person’s got to eat, right? Äuszer has restaurants with cuisines from a great number of different countries and cultures, but its native food is spectacular in its own right. The region’s famed honey-glazed pine-smoked chicken is served in every town in the region, with various twists on the same recipe. Downtown’s gourmet S E A restaurant infuses lemon thyme and ginger into theirs. Viljelkáá Ásken, a more traditional “farm-style” restaurant, serves theirs with caramelized wild onion and meadow mint.
Another Äuszer specialty is tea. Tea plants have been cultivated on foothills throughout the east coast for centuries, and thus a wide spectrum of teas have been developed and refined. Varieties and infusions are available for all sorts of uses, from invigoration and relaxation to medicine and sexual potency.
And of course, there’s dessert. Hedelmát jáátikkó, a shaved ice and fruit juice confection, is usually served with juice from the east coast’s unique cool-summer sweet oranges in the late afternoon, after a long hike or long stretch of hard work. However it is an adaptable dish, and is now often served late at night as well, sometimes mixed with liquor or a cocktail instead of just fruit juice. For a classically Tödlichebujoki/Äuszer fusion, try it with Seltsamebochi vodka and the cool-summer orange juice.
Yes! We have to eat, and the food stated here is brilliant! Will Todlichebujoku rise to victory and host the contest?
