As the 47th WorldVision Song Contest grows ever closer, Wivibloggs catches up with The Sarian entry, and runner in the (admittedly crowded) field of cutest entry.
Tell us about yourself.
I’m just a regular guy from Gorgona in The Sarian. For my whole life I’ve loved singing and the fact that I’m able to do it as a job still overwhelms me to this day.
Tell us about your song.
Fear is a really powerful song, and unlike anything I’ve ever written before. I recently found out about the prominence of abusive relationships against males and in the gay community yet gets very little coverage. That’s why I decided to write a song about it and I hope it helps people in those situations.
What’s your favourite lyric?
Oh! That’s hard! I think the important thing to know about ‘Fear’ is that the strength of it (in my opinion) comes from the whole thing coming together, the juxtaposition, the contradictions, the emotion. Was that a cop out? I think it was.
Finally, what’s your favourite WorldVision song ever?
Ever? I still have a spot in my heart for ‘Cyanide Eyes’ in WorldVision 32 – the whole thing was amazing.
